
Winter 2010 Class Schedule:
Learn to Knit! (for absolute beginners and those whose skills may be
rusty). In this two-session class, you will learn the foundations of all
knitting. The first week will cover the cast on and the knit stitch. In the
second week you will learn the purl stitch and to bind off - completing the
Beginning Knitting sequence! $50/session

Beyond The Basics Now that you've learned your knits and purls, you're
ready to move on to learn increasing, decreasing, yarn overs and cables.
The following simple but stylish project classes will provide the perfect
follow-up for any beginning knitter.
A Square A Week: learn a new technique/ stitch pattern each week.
Each square can be used in many ways such as face cloths, placemats,
scarves, bags or the beginning of an afghan. Take one class or all four.
The fifth class will teach finishing techniques. Mondays, 7-8:30 PM/ $25
per session.

* Monday, March 22: Finishing Techniques (with pre-class homework)
Knitting A Hat in the Round If you've wanted to learn to knit a hat or to use
circular needles, this is the class you've been waiting for. A thorough
knowledge of the cast on and knit stitch is required. 2 sessions/ $50

Friday Night Sweater Knitting Basics In this intensive three-session
class, you will learn to knit (and finish) a sleeveless sweater. Included is
increasing, deceasing and finishing techniques. A thorough knowledge of
knit, purl, cast on and bind off is a prerequisite. If you're bored with
scarves and want to move into the big leagues, this is your class. 3
sessions/ $75

Advanced Classes
Advanced Sweater Construction An intensive 4-session series, this
class includes it all with an emphasis on finishing techniques.
Prerequisite: Beginning Sweater Construction or intermediate knitting
skills. $100

Sock Clinic: Magic Loop If you're a double-pointed sock knitter and
would like to learn a faster, easier way, this is it. Intermediate knitting
skills (or previous sock knitting) required. $50

Fair Isle Workshop

Needle Felting Workshop Irene Heckel will be teaching a four part needle
felting workshop beginning on March 3. Sign up now to reserver your

T.G.I. Thursday: Open Knit-Along Night 6-8:30 PM
Chances are, it’s been a long week and you could use a relaxing night out
knitting with the girls. (Men welcome also). No instruction, per se, just lots
of support, ideas and inspiration. Laughs included. BYO refreshments, if
desired. (No Charge).
Private Lessons One-on-one instruction is also available at $30/hour or
$20/half hour. Perfect if you can't attend one of our scheduled classes. By
appointment only.
Make-Your Own Classes Sign up with several friends to create your own
class. Bring refreshments and make it a party!
