Learn to Knit! (for absolute beginners and those whose skills may be
rusty). In this two-session class, you will learn the foundations of all
knitting. The first week will cover the cast on and the knit stitch. In the
second week you will learn the purl stitch and to bind off - completing the
Beginning Knitting sequence! $50 / two-session class
Crochet! good for beginners & intermediate level

Sock Clinic If you're a double-pointed sock knitter and would like to
learn a faster, easier way, this is it. Intermediate knitting skills (or previous
sock knitting) required. $50 / two-session class
Finishing Class This one class will cover a variety of finishing
techniques, including both mattress stitch and the three needle bind off,
as well as how to use them on all types of knit patterns. Please bring the
following to class: two samples in stockinette stitch with live stitches
(stitches still on the needle), and four completed samples, two in garter
and two in stockinette stitch. All samples should not be smaller than a 4"
square. Students are also encouraged to bring their own projects in need
of finishing to work on if time permits. $25/ session
Open Knit-Along

Thursdays 6 - 8:30
No instruction, per se, just lots of support, ideas and inspiration. Laughs
included. BYO refreshments, if desired. (No Charge).
Private Lessons One-on-one instruction is available at $30/hour or
$20/half hour. Perfect if you can't attend one of our scheduled classes. By
appointment only.
Make-Your Own Classes Sign up with several friends to create your
own class. Bring refreshments and make it a party!
| In order to provide the personal instruction necessary for your success, we keep our classes small. As a result, classes do fill up. Please register early to reserve your space and avoid unnecessary cancellations. Full payment is required at time of registration. Please be certain of your availability as there are no refunds if you must cancel. If The Village Knitter must cancel a class, a full refund will be given. Class fees do not include materials unless otherwise noted. All students receive a 10% discount while enrolled in a class. |
